About

Hi, I’m Paula,

I’m a nutritionist and reflexologist based in Honiton, East Devon, supporting women in midlife and working with organisations and community groups to build sustainable health, energy and resilience.

Midlife, including the menopause transition, can be a time of real change. Many women notice shifts in energy, mood and confidence, often while continuing to juggle busy lives, work and family commitments.

I know from my own experience how powerful a nutrition-led approach can be during this stage, and I believe that working with the body is the most effective way to support long-term health and wellbeing.

Supporting wellbeing in midlife and beyond

My approach focuses on nourishing both the body and the mind. Nutrition plays a central role in supporting energy, metabolic health and healthy ageing, while recognising that wellbeing is about far more than food alone. How we respond to everyday stress, how well we rest, and how supported we feel all have a significant impact on how we experience midlife.

Alongside nutrition support, I offer reflexology as a restorative wellbeing practice to help calm the nervous system, reduce feelings of overwhelm and support relaxation during times of change. Used as part of a wider wellbeing approach, it can be a valuable way to support both physical and emotional balance.A practical, whole-person approach to wellbeing.

A practical, whole person approach to wellbeing

I believe wellbeing works best when it is realistic and fits real life. Rather than quick fixes or extremes, I focus on small, supportive changes that build confidence and create sustainable habits over time.

When we nourish ourselves physically and mentally, and give ourselves permission to prioritise self-care without guilt, we create strong foundations for long-term health, resilience and healthy ageing.

Midlife and menopause as a doorway to better wellbeing

At the heart of my work is a simple belief. Menopause and midlife can be a powerful doorway into better wellbeing. When we begin to listen to our bodies and place self-care higher on the priority list, it often opens the door to healthier habits, greater resilience and long-term wellbeing.

With the right support, this stage of life can become an opportunity to feel more informed, confident and supported, rather than something to fear.

Wellbeing talks and workshops

In addition to my work with women, I deliver wellbeing talks and workshops for organisations and community groups. I’m passionate about making wellbeing education practical, accessible and inclusive, helping people understand how nutrition, lifestyle and everyday habits influence energy, resilience and long-term health, both at work and at home.

My sessions are designed to support whole-workforce wellbeing, while also recognising key life stages such as midlife, where targeted, compassionate support can make a meaningful difference.

My background and what led me into wellbeing

Before retraining, I worked in the airline industry and was fortunate to travel long-haul across the world. I experienced different cultures and perspectives on health and wellbeing, which I found fascinating. It was an exciting chapter, but it also showed me first-hand the impact that demanding lifestyles can have on the body.

Irregular time zones, early starts, night flights, dehydration, digestive disruption and lack of restorative sleep were part of daily life. Over time, I saw how close many colleagues, myself included, came to burnout.

That experience prompted me to look more closely at my own health and ultimately led me to retrain in naturopathic nutrition, reflexology and wellbeing.

WHY DID I DECIDE TO STUDY AND CHANGE CAREERS?

I worked in the airlines and was very privileged to fly long-haul across the world.  I got to experience how different cultures address wellbeing. It was great fun. However, I also got to experience first-hand the negative effects of that lifestyle on my physical body. The ever-changing time zones, early starts, night flights, dehydrating atmosphere, digestive disruption and the constant lack of quality sleep, to name just a few.

I saw first-hand how myself and colleagues were close to burnout. This experience inspired me to look after my own health and to share that knowledge with others. That is why I studied Naturopathic Nutrition, Reflexology and Wellbeing Coaching.

How I support wellbeing in practice

My work is based on a whole-person approach to wellbeing. I recognise that there is no one-size-fits-all solution, particularly during midlife, when the body’s needs can change and life demands often remain high.

Through nutrition support, wellbeing education and, where appropriate, reflexology, I help people understand the underlying factors affecting their energy, resilience and long-term health. Together, we focus on practical, realistic steps that support sustainable wellbeing and fit into everyday life.

Chronic Fatigue Management

I furthered my Wellbeing studies in Chronic Fatigue/ME/Fibromyalgia with The Chrysalis Effect accredited training programme. I qualified as an Accredited Chrysalis Effect Practitioner to be able to use the online Recovery Programme, to support clients back to vitality and good health.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental health has never been more important to our overall wellbeing. I qualified as a Mental Health First Aider with the organisation SHOUT. Although no longer an active member, it helped me to understand my clients and be able to support them in their time of need.
