Paula Fenegan Reflexology
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a lovely relaxing complementary therapy, an ideal antidote to the stresses of our modern world. It uses gentle pressure on specific points on the feet, ankles and hands. Did you know that there are over 7000 nerve endings on the feet? By stimulating these it can have an effect on corresponding parts of the body, easing away stress and tension.
Its origins date back to ancient Egypt, India and China but it wasn’t until 1930, that Eunice Ingham mapped the areas on the feet and introduced what we now know as Reflexology.
Reflexology is particularly effective as part of a treatment plan for supporting people with long term, or chronic health problems; such as Chronic Fatigue, M.E, and Fibromyalgia. It may also support hormonal imbalances, pain and anxiety.
Reflexology promotes deep relaxation and improves circulation, which can have a positive effect on your physical and emotional health. Who doesn’t like to relax and be pampered?
