Relaxing sessions in Honiton and Kilmington, East Devon.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a lovely relaxing complementary therapy, an ideal antidote to the stresses of our modern world. It uses gentle pressure on specific points on the feet, ankles and hands.
Did you know that there are over 7000 nerve endings in our feet? By stimulating these it can have a positive effect on corresponding parts of the body, easing away stress and tension.
Its origins date back to ancient Egypt, India and China but it wasn’t until 1930, that Eunice Ingham mapped the areas on the feet and introduced what we now know as Reflexology.
Reflexology is particularly effective as part of a treatment plan for supporting women with Menopausal symptoms, such as anxiety, hot flushes and insomnia.
Reflexology promotes deep relaxation and improves circulation, which can have a positive effect on your physical and emotional health. There is evidence that it can help in menopause, including sleep issues. Check out this study from Science Direct.
